All four seasons in one day?

I can’t believe the variability of the weather….we are in June and it’s supposed to be the start of Summer.

In the midst of flooding yesterday, I saw a social media post announcing it was 29 weeks until Christmas…..and, with a slight sense of regret that I’d mentally jumped past Summer already, it occurred to me how close that actually is.
We do actually start thinking about all things winter and indeed, all things Christmas almost all year round. Planning for our Christmas displays starts in January once the last of the Christmas trees has been removed and recycled and while our gritting service is still in full-swing.

This time of year, we start decorating trees for the photo-shoots and brochure preparation….on a day like yesterday, it almost feels right.
The older I get, the more I appreciate that some decent planning, proper research and taking the time to work through options means that I make better and more informed decisions….and results in fewer last minute panics….as true for my home as my work priorities.
